as long as they are eating, you shouldn't worry. the fact is that most people overfeed their fish, a lot of the times the fish will just eat anything that is offered, but sometimes they will only really eat when they are hungry, that's probably the case with your fish. just keep trying to offer different foods and see what happens.QUOTE]
Agree 100% - My RPB has always ate til' he's stuffed, then might go a few days without eating anything. Took awhile to figure the right amout of food for daily feeding with no leftovers. As he got older it became more of a rarity to even see him eat. Usually I feed, as of late, one silverslide @ 6am then turn the light out. Once the lights off he hits it like gangbusters.
My Rhom's the sameway. P's can be easily startled. Sometimes just watching them even with the lights off is unsettling for them and they will not eat til' I leave the room. In the past, I found it easier to get the P's to eat with the lights on as a shoal. They seem to play follow the leader, but even then, feedings were large and only once to twice a week not daily.
