piraya and rhom?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes, random people who don't care about their fish have done it.

It can't work, rhoms are too territorial and one of the fish would end up dying.

It isn't necessarily an agression or territorial issue - it's the damage each is capable of inflicting in even the most minor of squabbles.

Don't do it.

for the record though, Pygocentrus species have much stronger jaws than Serrasalmus species, as you might note by their bulldog-jaw appearance. Pygo jaws are designed for slicing through flesh and bone, Serra species are more focused on scale-scraping off of other fish.

seriously? I know that serras have a kind of leaner head, less height and weight on the head, but the feeding vids I've seen of serras, they look just as strong. Their jaws look just as capable of slicing through flesh.

Surely a rhom or manueli is capable of chomping a goldfish in half with minimal effort?
