Baho;3000603; said:aight guys i need ur help fast! i started off wit 10 2inch pirayas in a 180g... i had lost 1 a month ago but i found 2 dead today!! im really pissed about it. the thing is i have 3 that r a lot bigger (about 4inch) than the rest so they keep attacking them... my idea is to use my separator and divide both groups till the small ones get bigger. this way the small ones will be able to eat in peace. thats where i need your help... is it a good IDEA?! i was thinkin givin 60% of the tank to the bigger ones and 40% to the smaller ones. what do u guys think cuz i need to do soemthing! u all no that theyre pretty expensive...
thanx
Are U kiddin' me man?????

Firts mistake: 10 pirayas in a 180g tank. It would work for a while as the pirayas are small but in short those pirayas are going to outgrow that aparently big enouh tank and then you'll end up with a carnage. A single piraya needs at least 100g for life and you have 10. Can you imagine?????
.Second big mistake: 3 of them are much more bigger than the rest: It is quite obvious that the bigger ones would think the smallers are feeders, expecially if we are talking about 4" in size difference...

.Yes you can split the tank it wouuld save your smaller pirayas life but rememmber you are not going to be able to keep all of them, sooner or later you must get rid of the mayority of them, a 180g would only be suitable for 2 pirayas in long term. otherwise you would have to had the means to keep them in a 1000g set up man...

What you where thinking on when you brought home those 10 pirayas for the god sake?????.

Would you take home a lion cub juts because his small size and tender look makes you think you would be able to keep him for life????.
