but can I ask why you bred/breed dogs? Especially when thousands of unwanted dogs are killed everyday.
I am not ranting at you, I just want a chance to talk with a breeder and find out why you would breed them.. Especially something with the APBT in it. Please do not take offense in anything I say, like I said before, I really would love finding 2 perfect american pit bull terriers and breeding them, but I could not do so while I know of at least 30 in a few of my shelters who have less than a week to live.

I think a lot of people are afraid to buy dogs, especially pits that they don't rear themselves because they don't know the dog's history and don't think they can train a "bad" dog to be "good" again. IDK.

Nope, I would accept it if they have great pedigrees, good health and temperaments going back generations, genetics come into roll with breeding, also, with large breeds, xrays of their hips to make sure there is no Hip Dysplasia, having very responsible homes lined up before the breeding that you can keep in close contact with, not breeding a female more than twice, breeding to improve the breed standard, not breeding for quantity, meaning a female should not be bred more often than is healthy for her, once every 2 years is good, keeping the puppies until they're at least 10 weeks old, so they learn the important lessons from mom and their siblings that most miss out on because they are taken at 5-6 weeks of age, knowing how to answer all of the questions I posted of woofy's thread.
In other words, breeding should be left to the professionals who know what they are doing, not someone who gets 2 good looking dogs with nice attitudes and puts them together. Or someone who studs a dog out to anyone who has a ***** in heat.
