all my frogs ( pacmans, tomatoes, pixies and toads ) eat from tongs. Only the smaller toad species and frogs that thrive mainly on crickets have to have the prey items loose in the enclosure.
Wasn't sure if it was the crickets but I remember dumping a half dozen pin head crickets in with a baby pacman and found the frog dead the next morning
