places to get driftwood?

What are some good places to get driftwood? is ebay an ok place?
 
Local lakes/streams/rivers.

I have a real hard time giving someone money for something I can collect (and have fun doing it:))

Thats how i got mines, and if you have a hard time waterloging it, or just dont want to wait. Go out and get some sheets of acrylic cut, some stainless steel screws, and bolt away. Then bury it under your gravel.

Soak it in some hot water mixed with salt and melafix. If the wood is small, just go ahead and boil it.

I boil them. Mixing with salt as mentioned above is also a good idea. This will eradicate nasty things that might harbor in the pieces of woods.:)

Not only that, it gives a more flavor for your wood soup.:nilly:
