I have a tank with afew dried wood, plant and gravel .. and my fishes seems to **** alot .. and all the sh1t is hidden in the gravel... and after i use a gravel vac to clean and change the water after a day or 2 they **** alot and dirty the tank again .. i'm thinking of removing everything and keep it plain. but how to keep it nice and simple? pain is not really what i want

Sand! The poop just sits onto of it.
No gravel vac required, just regular syphon or a powerhead to blow them into the filter intake.

My 75g is almost barebottom. I have driftwood and pieces of slate, which I remove when I vacuum. Then I put the decor back in and it hold the turds for me until the next vacuum session.

Here is mine. I just wash the driftwood once a month and syphon out any turd trapped in it.

I really like how the tannins in the driftwood released in you water. Looks very nice.

Thanks, but the tannin came from Peat which I have since stop using
Driftwoods are treated by soaking in boiling water for 5 days, tannin fully leached away

Oh ok, I really like how the peat moss gave your tank that effect. i was looking into it, but the big pieces of my driftwood had already released the tannins in my tank.

i just really like the natural biotope look from the driftwood, moss, and leaves you can get.

- What kind of light are you using?
