Plan to deworm my tank what do u think?

He has some beasts, no ordinary cleanup crew would be anything but a spendy snack. Could you use something like a shifter that lets your sand through but not the worms?
 
Well my idea was to put the water that exits the tank that would normally go on the ground in a big bucket so I could suck up as much sand as I wanted and all the sand would sink to the bottom and the water would spill out then I could rinse the sand out and put it back how does that sound?
