Oh, for shrimp try aquabid.com ... I get a lot of really good deals on pretty colorful and interesting species there. And a lot of the sellers ship internationally. ^_^

I will ask around and see if I can find you a hobbyist in your general area, or at least your country, lol. I really wouldn't trust PI, and I am not trying to be rude. Alot of the sulawesi shrimp just don't import well, having a greater than 50% die-off and they have very particular conditions. Nerites are awesome, I have several varieties, but they are not easy to import either as alot of transhippers simply "don't do snails" and most often y ou can find them but they are not yet acclimated to freshwater. They are worth it if you can find them, just make sure its a very well-seasoned tank (running a year or so) as they do not always take well to supplemental diets and may require you to grow supplemental algae.
It ios just that the sulawesi elepahant snails 'joker' colour seems to be v nice but any bright colours would do!
BUMP! Hmmm I like all the elephant snails but I will ask all the LFS's in my area if they can get them and if they can't I will search myself

I was thinking of buying 2 african fan shrimp from this store - I havent been able to find them anywhere else at a reasonable price. I have seen some pretty bad reviews from this store, but those were several years ago. The vendor has said he has "cleaned things up" and I have seen several recent good reviews since... Guess I will find out, its not too much $ and I REALLY want these shrimp!
Well - I decided to give it a whirl. I just sent payment via paypal. The amount wasnt that much ($40) and I have been looking for these shrimp for so long that I am willing to take the risk. The date is 4/9/2009. I will let ya'll know how this goes...

Well - so far not so good. I sent payment last Thursday (4/9), and sent notification of payment and request to be notified of ship date via email. So far - I havent heard a word back, not even a "payment received - will process order".
