Planning a 240G, who should I buy from?

I'm planning a 240G tank (glass) and I want your opinions on who I should buy from. I was looking at glass cages and they had the cheapest price but everyone here seems to say it's going to explode , or is that just for the larger tanks? 240G doesn't seem that much in terms of glass tanks but I want your opinions anyway. Lmk other sellers you guys buy from/suggest. Thanks!

You try All-Glass? Marineland also makes some nice large glass tanks, but I've only seen them in the LFS.

Yeah I don't think those two sell privately. Biggest Aqueon has on their site is 210. Looking to avoid the middle man lol.

tencor tanks have qc issues ive installed two in the last 3 years that are showing stress fissures already try s+s or tru view if they wont ship direct let me know and i'll se if i can get you a good price i sell all three .

I'm also looking at upgrading in size. In Central NY there isnt much activity on craigslist for tanks 200 gallons or bigger. So I'm starting to think it might just be a lot easier to buy new. Acrylic is probably the way to go on these big tanks isnt it? Mainly just based on weight. Are glass tanks generally cheaper than acrylic ones?

Isn't tenecor really expensive? Roughly how much would a 300 gallon acrylic tank cost from tenecor?

Personally I am very happy with the 300 that I purchased from Glass Cages. The tank and the service were both top notch and I couldn't be happier with the tank.

I think tenecor tanks in that range are into the 3-4 thousand dollar range. After having a few glass tanks and acrylic tanks, i hope to never go back to glass (based on weight)
