My wife and I will be retiring next year and I want to set up a tank in out new place.
I have a 300 gallon custom that was previously a salt water system. I am cleaning it out and prepping for the switch to fresh.
My plan is to have a planted system with primarily rasboras (yeah I know... I’ll need a few for a tank that size), but I’m looking for suggestions for peaceful tank mates.
I’m thinking of shrimp and panda loaches but also a blue ram and peacock gudgeon and probably a nice school of CPD.
Any input is certainly welcome.

Welcome aboard

What is the PH of your water coming out of your tap? I'm asking because it would be easier to maintain fish that thrive in the same PH range.

Angelfish, they could become territorial but in a 300 gallon, it wouldn’t matter since other fish could get away. They might also eat some shrimp, so you should get them after the shrimp install a colony and get the angels as babies since they may not pick off shrimp.

This tank won’t be set up for a year. I don’t have any info on the local water yet.
