hey guys i ned alot of advice before i can get my first arro.
at my lfs there an extremely healthy silver arrow for 18bucks. i realy want toget one but i cant get a big tank untill for another year. so right now its 2inches but how long can i keep him inmy 10gallon? then how long till 29g?then 60g 40x18x20?then after thats wats the minum tank to keep it in and wat are its measurements? also if by 10% chance i dont get the tank, can any one here take him away?

The small aro's grow quickly! IMO, I would skip the 10 gallon and go straight to the 60 gallon (or bigger) if you can. I think the little guy will outgrow the smaller tanks as fast as you can cycle them!:nilly: Try to go with the biggest tank you can from the beginning. There are also a lot other things to consider, like filtration. Sometimes a big tank with poor water quality is worse than a little bit smaller tank with great water quality. Hope this helps and good luck! Don't forget to post some pics!:D

Even if at 2", if you're going to put an aro in a 10 or 29 gallon, then dont get one. Wait until you can get a bigger tank.

ya.. a 2" in a 10 gallon will last you 2 months... max..

its safer to just go 60gallon for 6 months and move up..

also i dont want do be dude at all but, my aasian parents say if i can keep it in a 10 then 29 and 60, theyll forshure get me a 135-240gallon tank. also, i might even get at the end of my school year. plus if it gets to big right now, ill put it inmy scxhool project tank at school(100g)

If you dont have a tank suitable for an aro, dont keep an aro. 10 gallons and 29 gallons just doesnt work period. Moving from 10 gallons, to 29 gallons, to 60 gallons then to a bigger tank stresses your fish out quite a bit, especially if you dont do it right. Theres alot of people who say they'll be upgrading, but no one knows the future, most find out that they won't be upgrading. Wait until the end of the school year, and get the bigger tank, before you get an aro.
