2013-black-jeep-wrangler-unlimited-rubicon-001.jpgMy dad wants a jeep and the one he is interested in is the jeep unlimited rubicon. Any of you guys have or had one? How does it drive? Pro's and con's? He wants something similar to the one in the picture

I don't have one but I have a co worker who does and he can't seem to shut up about it.I'll go over some of its finer points with him and report back to you when I go back to work tomorrow.

It's a nice ride easy to get parts for. It's a little loud driving but that's it.

Hawk do you have one, which edition?...I'm not a big SUV/jeep guy, although I did have a Ford Expedition not too long ago before I sold it,but I've got to hand it to JEEP as some of them like the one pictured are really nice looking.

I just noticed my thread title was out of whack lol. Damn you auto correct! but anyways, when my dad gets back from his fishing trip today I might take him to the dealership to test drive one.

I sell cars and can see the appeal of a jeep I guess but dont understand them at the same time. Sure they may be one of the more offroad capable vehicles sold today but driving them on the road is kinda pointless. For the price there are so many vehicles that are better in every way for driving on the road. Jeeps are loud, handle poorly, are slow, brake poorly, and and poorly optioned for the price. Luckily we live in a place where there is choice and practicality doesnt always win otherwise sports cars wouldnt exist but for my money theres a lot of vehicles id be all over before a jeep.

I had a 96 wrangler loved it wish I never sold it. Been looking at the Rubicon everybody in Utah has a jeep. The Rubicon is built to use on trails that's why the drive train is so loud. They also hold their value out here

Dont get me wrong there are a lot of strong points to a jeep including resale value. But most things that make it great are what it can do offroad and most of those things also make it not so great on the road. I live in an area where offroading is very limited so I guess its the jeeps that never see more than a dirt road that confuse me
