I have been looking around to buy a FH
would like to get some opinions first

I looked at EA imports, they have good but expensive selection + $45 shipping fee

This one caught my eye though

Also looking at facebook sellers, he sells fish for 60-100 includes transhipping and then I have to pay local overnight shipping which will be around 50 I assume

Opinions? (I feel comfortable spending under $200)

I checked local pet shops they don't have a FH, I wish I could score something like this

That's a nice masterpiece right there. Check aquabid.com they have plenty of nice young flowerhorns at a great price minus the shipping from a transhipper. And they come mostly from overseas. I noticed that in the states they cost much more simply because they are importers and shops and they gotta make their profits.

Just my two pence worth but I wouldn't recommend buying and FH without meeting him or her first in person. That is an absolutely awesome looking FH but my and my FH share a very healthy friendship. I couldn't imagine keeping one without a "connection" as such

Well that's the nice thing about FH's -- with 99 out of 100 it's easy as pie to make such a "connection" compared to other fish, so OP I wouldn't let this dissuade you from ordering one online, you'd have to have seriously bad luck to get a Flowerhorn that wasn't interactive with its owner -- and no fish whispering needed -- they just want your food lol.

I don't think they are smart enough for connection, they are protecting their territory or want food.
