Wait, if lakefishex is a transhipper I don't have to pay Julie to reship it to my house? I know how to buy the fish from aquabid, but how does a shipper like Julie get her shipment fee ? Like how do I pay her to ship it to my house? Or will wut take care of that?

Lakefish is a transshipper for Thailand only. You will need to arrange a shipment date with Julie to receive your fish. You cannot legally receive a fish overseas without going through inspection and you must pick it up at the airport(you must have an importation of live fish license as well). Letting Julie handle your fish will be a lot cheaper than you getting your own importation license, the fees will cost more than your fish LOL.
And yes you can choose your day of shipment that you want...Julie isn't picky about that. And if I'm not mistaken, you have 2 weeks to claim your fish. Which is an awful long time. Be sure to check with your seller on which date is their shipment into the US.

hey im planning to order from lakefishex. which transhipper has the cheapest prices? im ordering a huge fish, around 8 inches. a super red dragon, and im planning to order from julie. is there a way i can figure out her prices on shipping flowerhorns? she wont respond to me ive asked her for a quote lol.

Do not go with a transshipper just because they are cheap. Flowerhorns are extremely sensitive fish and without the right care during shipment, they can get sick easily and follow up with all kinds of crap happening. Any fish from 5" - 9" will cost $20 for shipment and $5 for handling...so your total will be $25 for Julie's fish shipment. This is only for the price of the fish, it does not include the actual shipment to your house. Considering it is a big fish, you may be looking right around $60 - $70 for the overall shipment + fish & handling fees.

Good choicec in lakefish. Fyi julie requires a signature unless u tell her not to (which may void doa) so make sure your home. She can be hard to get a hold of but don't worry, she's top notch. Usually I just hear from her a day or 2 before she reships with her total.

well ive done business with julie my flowerhorn came in perfectly fine. its not sick at all. but im worried because im buying an expensive masterpiece flowerhorn and i definitely dont want that coming in sick. btw, if it does have hex, or any kind of sickness, whats the best medicine for it? i hear epsolm salt will do the trick, then i hear that dog dewormer from walmart soaked in fish food will also do the trick.. what has worked for you big one? i need medicine that i can access easily. i was thinking API general cure from petsmart would work but not sure.

yeah thats why i was gonna pick a certain day to ship it in.. btw, can she ship it on weekends? im not home on weekdays i have college lol.

Dog medication works great! Fenbendazole for puppy...the light green package. Soak that with frozen blood worms(I chose blood worms because they tend to soak up medication real good) for an hour or so and feed it to your fish. Whether it is hex or hernia, it will do the trick without making your fish feels like crap. It is also works great as a dewormer.

ok cool. can it be freeze dried blood worms??? thats all i have i have a whole can of those. havent used it since you told me it can harm my flowerhorn in the long run lol. oh btw, i heard feeding an 8 inch flowerhorn is different from feeding a small 4 inch. do i need to feed it every other day or something? also, during the winter its really cold here. my flowerhorn is gonna be in the garage, and i have a 110g tank that its gonna be in. i wanted to figure out how many watts of heater i would need to completely heat the tank so the flowerhorn doesnt get cold and get sick. also, i heard that heaters crack easily so do you know where i can get a heater protector or something? thanks.
