Plant-friendly fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Really? I've read that they're pretty peaceful.

Buenos Aires Tetras are plant-eaters.

didnt know about BA'S ...SORRY..... T-BARS are central americans ...so they can get agg. ...they are kinda peaceful for CA'S... that being said I wouldnt put them with any delicate cichlids(rams) or small community type fishes....but it MIGHT work....

Lf serpae are a contradiction of themselves, they are a fin nipping species with perfect fins to nip... Also probably won't get big enough to avoid the bichirs. You want fish that doesn't sleep on the bottom. A school of tiger barbs, rosy barbs, Odessa barbs, golden barbs, etc, could work also.

I like the Congo tetra as well... Usually a bit pricey though.

Try to find some apistos, basically same care as rams and they look equally as good.

I'll look into the Apistos.
I really like the look of Odessa Barbs!

Hey guys, I have a question...If I were to put all my 8 angels into my 100, would I still get a pair, and would they spawn? Would they cause trouble with the smaller fish after they'd paired up?

Some Denisonii maybe 5 might be nice to liven up the mid section.

Roseline sharks...Too expensive for me.

That chocolate pleco is going to destroy your newly planted tank... I had a chocolate pleco in mine and I gave it away... It would dig and pull up plants like a good time. Im sure it would be fine with a already planted tank.. but a freshly rooted plant won't do so well once those guys start ramming around
