Plant friendly silver dollars?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have chalceus erythrurus the toucan fish and often called pink tailed chalceus. They are mine in the picture.
My tank is not planted as I have silver dollars and Severums.
I do offer lettuce, baby leaf spinach and over grown vallis leaves to my silver dollars. My chalceus ignore it.

Gorgeous fish you have!
Pink tail chalceus are Chalceus macrolepidotus.
It’s one thing for them to fight silver dollars over a meal at feeding time. It’s another for them to nibble at aquatic plants in a planted tank, it seems?

I'll look into the bleeding heart tetras. The discus tetra is probably to rare to get hold of for me.
Thanks guys

So I think im going to get 12 bleeding heart tetras. Of all the fiah suggested they act the most like dither fish and they are inexspenaive enough that if they get eaten I won't stress out about it. Plus they still look good.
