Then it's not beard algae.

Get a UV sterilyzer then wipe and clean as much of it off as you can while running the UV, vacuum everything, do W/C's and the black out treatment. And get a couple of siamese algae eaters if you can.

I missed your previous post on it, and if I could miss it...well..

I had figured you wouldn't do anything else but a dip.

And 1:19, that's by measure not weight right?

Yep, sounds like a red hair algae, some types are black in appearance, as Dr. Joe said, it is much easier to deal with than brush beard algae.
