When a plant loses part of its root structure (i.e. moving it to a different tank) the roots are not prevalent enough to support the upper part of the plant, so the older leaves/stems will die off, and the plant will "pout" for a time, where it looks like nothing is going on. What's happening, is the plant is growing root structure, and after it has an established root structure, it will start to put off new leaves again.
