Plant id

Wanted to find out what kind of plant I have. I had it since I started out witch has been about 10 months with a 20g now a 55 with mbuna and it hasn't really grown but has maintained. So my other questio is how to care for it better and can I plant it in sand, its been inside the little plastic pot it came with.

Looks like some type of echinodorus species (swordplant). Need a close up for a better ID.

Wendtii or Lutea. Cryptocoryne for sure. It needs to come out of that pot either way. Kinda sensitive to change, so a few leaves may melt off, but they will come back. One of my faves..

Can it be planted in the sand I Dnt have any soil just cichlid sand.

I've never put them in straight sand before.. might be OK. You could try putting in a small terra cotta pot with small pea gravel?
