Plant Identification PLEASE

In general, amazon swords do well in medium low (1.5wpg) or higher light. They take nutrients through their roots and leaves. If the gravel is old (3+ years), or the tank has a high population of fish, and you are using tap water when doing frequent water changes, you may find that you do not need additional fertilizers.
The plants in your pics were grown partially out of water. In a week or two you will notice outer leaves dying off and inner leaves growing with a more elongated shape. This is normal and will happen. DO not remove the outer leaves (unless they die off), until the inner leaves are 5+ inches in height. You can stunt the growth of the plant by frequently pruning the outer leaves while keeping the inner leaves short. This will result in a much thicker (and attractive IMO), but somewhat shorter plant.

There are some parts of the plant that are sort of shriveling up and turning brown. what should I do? Remove them? What Kind of Bulb should I get? Can I get a link to a special type? also, dont i need a special hood?
