Planted Brackish Tank

I'm not an expert, but when I wanted to do the same thing, I couldn't find any plants, except for mangroves, that could tolerate high end brackish, but a lot of common aquarium plants can handle low end brackish, if slowly acclimated.

I started the tank in almost pure freshwater, and slowly worked it up to low end brackish. It's been awhile so I'm not positive what my specific gravity ended up, but I think it was around .004-.006.

I kept an archer, a couple of monos, an eel, and some rope fish, in a half filled tank for a couple years. ( I know rope fish aren't brackish, but I have read about them being found in brackish water at times)

It was planted pretty heavily, and I didn't loose, any plants as I added salt. Plants included, java ferns, anubias, apongetons, crypts, and lucky bamboo. The lucky bamboo extended well above the water line for the crickets to climb on, so the archer could shoot them down.

The tank did quite well for a couple years until I sold it.

I have 3 spotted puffer, 2 Columbian sharks, 4 white Molly's, 2 pictus cats, 2 Danios (1 zebra 1 Pearl )
For plants I have Amazon swords and a fern plant

I never did plants in my brackish, but they do have a brackish plant section at aquariumplants. com with 14 plants. I haven't ordered from them in about 10 years, but what I ordered I still have so...
they don't list salinity levels though.
nice tank Slsegul. what's the tall big leaved plant on the far right?
