planted convict cichlid tank

this was the tank we started with had a few different types of cichlids in here then soon after they all began to out grow it so it’s now become the convicts tank with one male, one female, 3 danios, & 2 buenos aires. you can see the difference from before we added the female and after it’s crazy to look back and see how much they have dug, how do you know when they are wanting to breed or have laid eggs if the areas they are in aren’t visible? we have also taken out the pleco you can see in the first photo 13664781366477

Welcome aboard

You will know when one of them start digging, chasing tankmates away from a designated area. Also will charge the glass and nip your hand lol if eggs or fry are present.

i haven’t seen any fry nor can i tell if there’s any eggs but my fiancé did stick his hand in there to pull some leafs off the filter and the male bit his hand but besides that everything seems to be normal.

Lol they probably have the fry hid or they may be wriggler's not free swimming yet.
