depends on howyou go about it. A diy sump can be cheaper. A fx5 will be easier. I run an Fx5 on my tank with my cariba with no issues with my parameters. If you got the cash money, get a eheim 2262 and buckets and buckets of seachem matrix to fill it. That filter will manhandle anything you can reasonably house in a 210.
I put my powerheads near the surface. Its all bout surface agitation IMO. The water current travels fast along the top then broad and smoothly the bottom part of the tank.
