Planted Oscar/clownloach Tank Advice

Ahh, Australia, I see... I'm from Canada, so I have no idea of the laws down under! Since you're so close to the ocean ( depending what city I suppose ), why not convert the tank into a nice Marine setup? Then you can go with a Volitan Lionfish ( sorry, I get carried away with suggestions sometimes ).

All I can say is good luck. I've never had much luck with plants, other than floating ones, in cichlid tanks. I haven't done the oscar thing yet though. My pike, red devil, flowerhorn, and doviis all trashed plants though.

yeah mate, pit of a pain, don't get me wrong if there illegal i'd keep them, but i don't get a choice as i can't obtain the fish....
But to marine, nah, i don't feel i have the experience or anything, besides i've seen some amazing marine tanks... but just no interest in them.
