Planted Shrimp Tank Filtration

On my 10 gallon tank, I use a Hamburg Mattenfilter (HMF) setup.

I attach the whole of the sponge filter to my canister's intake pipes.

I'm using the largest I can find here in singapore and 2 are running on airpump while the center 2 are connected to the canisters.

That's a small low tech planted tank with some shrimps in there. Water are pumped into that tank and flow back to the main tank. Thus sharing the same water parameters as the main.

I'm keeping some wild cherries in there.
