yeah, the wpg rule was okay with normal output lighting but with all these PC and T5HO bulbs, its no longer accurate. this is best way to know where youre at :)

If you are interested in low light, then a carpeting plant most likely won't work. You need more power for that. Should be doable if you were willing to invest in power compact lights, though - e.g. Coralife Aqualight Freshwater. Bottom line is that CO2 cannot make up for poor lighting.

If you were thinking about a moss that spreads out, then Java moss or Suesswassertang are two great plants what work very well for me, without CO2.
