clumping turns to mud. yes well all clay aquarium substrates are dusty. Have you ever washed fluorite?
Never washed fluorite, but you're right about the dust, my 42 gal took a few hours.
Just wondered about the clay because they didn't mention clay with the non clumping type

Should I make a lid for my tank with an acrylic sheet?

I found out the light in using is a 7 watt cfl bulb is that enough for my tank? Should I upgrade to a 13 watt?

Depends what you want to do plant and care wise.

The more light, the more demands a plant has (were algae isn't as limited)

10-20 Watts wpuld be a good area to be in. 20+ is less limiting in what you can grow, but the plants require more nutrient uptake.

Just picked up some java fern from petsmart. Looking for some dwarf hair grass at petco atm -.-
