Plecos and several algae eater will love this as a treat. It is not harmful to fish, unless it is allowed to rot in the tank.snakeheader;1912205;1912205 said:

Which types of snails are bad? I have the usual brown "typical" shell snails, and a one with a shell that looks like a unicorn's horn.
The typical is probably a pond snail, and unsightly, but relatively unimportant when it comes to the tank. The MTS or unicorn shelled snail is a good occupant for your tank.
