Plants and Driftwood

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I use zip ties and never had a problem with the plants falling off. You can wrap it to the driftwood and make it extra tight. I used to use rubber bands, but they would always snap or the plant would come loose and I don't think they're good. Zip Ties FTW!

zip ties does sound good.

wouldnt that look tacky with the thick zip ties though?

Show some pix guys!

It doesn't look tacky. My zip ties are only about 2mm wide. You could always cut off the end of the zip tie that sticks out. I've tried a bunch of different methods to tie live plants to driftwood and zip ties work the best.

If tying something to a piece of wood with fishing line is way too difficult, there isn't much hope for you.

I think he CAN tie it, but he doesn't like the looks of it

It just seem I cant get the plant tight enough around the wood for it to LOOK RIGHT.

THE LFS STORES USE GREEN YARN BUT I LIKE TO USE FISHING STRING. SORRY FOR THE TYPE O'S.

tie to a heavy rock :) with thread and a little wire tie (what you use to tie wires so they dont hang loose around). black is a better color so its not so obvious
