Shouldn't be to many problems given enough hiding spots. Given proper food, the plants will not have a problem with the plecos.

Howdy,

Do you refer to the plecos wingate2581 listed, or plecos in general?

I am considering a few larger plecos for my 75 and 220 gal, and besides Java fern and Anubias, I am also thinking Vallisneria and Echinodorus.

Thanks,
HarleyK

Plecos in general. Other than the occasional uprooted plant/bush, my royals are fine in my planted tanks.

not sure

theres no "accidental" uprooting... they are just bulldozers.. whatever is in there way will end up being moved out of their way

I have a plain ol' pleco (7" +) and have very little problems with it and plants. I move it back and forth between my 2 tanks and he works the clean up shift. Usually cleans up a month's worth of algae in 1 night. He even cleans off the tops of my swords without skinning the leaves.

This is what im concerned about. I just got a bristlenose and hes eating cucumbers and algae just fine but i cought him on my amzon sword the today and was concerned hed hurt it. Is the BN going to end up ruining it? I wanted to big up a large amazon sword to cover up my backgroud a bit but now im concernd my BN will ruin it.

The sword he was on today looks just fine though.
