I had a t-10 6,500k bulb on my tank for a long time it kept my few plants alive for a months. It's not really the bulb size just how many kelvins it outputs cause that's what's really important.

Not entirely true. The K rating is important, but if its not intense enough it won't do jack for plant growth. Its all about that K and that PAR when it comes to plant lighting. I just don't think a single t10 of any K rating is strong enough to penetrate through that height of water, not when my 2 t8's barely grew low light plants on my 75. I've since gone high tech with 4 t5-ho but that's not something I'd recommend without doing co2 ahead of time. I learned that one the hard way as well *sigh*
