Plants for a mixed chiclid tank ?

to be honest what you need more of are water changes and better filtration.
plants will do squat with a heavy bioload...

I hear you on the filtration, but I added too many fish too quickly on a tank that had a small bio load to begin with.
For filtration I have 2 AC 110's and 1 rena xp1. i plan to upgrade to an XP4 or fluval 405 after christmas.

my midas throws my fake plants everywhere.
chances are he'll kill all my plants if i ever put any in lol.

I get away with plants, however i do use Co2 so they grow back quite quick..
