Hey guys I'm looking too get live plants for my tank...I need some advice please, as I have always used artificial plants but want too move away from that now...

What's the best plants for beginners?

Low maintenance and don't need chemicals?

Plants that will survive with monster fish?

Just looking for easy plants

TIA

Hello; You lost all my suggestions with the "survive with monster fish" bit except for the non rooted-free floating type.

Hello; Give it a try. I have not tried all things myself. I have only been keeping planted tanks a little over 50 years. I also have not kept snakeheads, gars or arowana. Basing my comments on trying to keep live rooted plants with other large fish. I can be wrong and have been many times.

I also am not sure how a live rooted plant can be secured with rocks. Fish the size of those you named can jerk out a live plant or at least tear it apart if they decide to.

Good luck

Large leaf anubias tied to the rock work would work :)

Amazon swords / java fern is another...

You could even tie some of the moss species to driftwood for some greenery as well...
