I have two Oscars, 10-12". As we know, they like to dig and rip stuff up. I am down to two plastic plants in my 125G tank. It's to the point where I'll replant them at 9 AM and they'll be ripped out and floating again by noon. Keep in mind these two appear to be a mating pair although that isn't going to happen due to the other stock in the tank. I have one good sized hide for a 12" cat and one large 10 pound decorative rock that they cannot move. I'm thinking that perhaps some plastic plants that fasten to the back glass with suction cups at the water line and weighted at the downward ends might, might, work. Does something like this exist and if so, can you point me to an on line retailer that carrys them?
Thanks.

just don't bother with plastic plants. Get some driftwood instead.

my oscars do fine with fake plants.. they never dig emup

The oscars and even more so the cat, tend to knock stuff around and I don't want to smash glass and even more importantly, I don't want to compromise swim area.
I appreciate the response.

I've got java moss and amazon swords in my tank. The Oscars don't mess with either of them.

anubus and java fern that have attahched themselves to rocks/driftwood should be allright. they are a fairly hardy plant. and i think they taste really bad to fish so they dont get eaten as much. but it tastes fine to me :P
