So my fish likes to dig up her plants and throw them around and things like that. So I'm assuming I shouldn't get real plants right?

Also, what type of plants are good for her? Should I get her bigger plants or smaller plants. She plays hide and seek so I'm not sure... And how many should I place in an 85 gal. tank?

Sorry, I know it's a lot of questions...but I'm kind of a n00b.. D:

Plastic, fake, silk. Sorry for the smart A response. like Wyld said, Anubias and Javas attached to wood might work.

Mine is in a tank with.

1 Large Amazon Sword
6 small Amazon Swords
1 Large Banana Plant
2 Wisteria plants (Or something similar, not sure)
1 Cardamine lyrata, I think
Tropical Hornwort
3 Hygrophilia Corymbose
Some sort of Lotus

Among some Java Moss and other bits. Lots of plants, and aside from biting one of the leaves sometimes the rest of the time all the plants are ignored. My Oscar is only 5" right now though.

Id stick to the kind that dont photosynthesize and are made outta plastic.

I predict at 7-8" one day he will be in a tank of shredded salad!

At that point he will be moving to a 125g with just some Java moss and floating plants he can mess with to his hearts content. I need to finish resealing it first though.

So far so good though at the current size.

None but fake ones....Like others said they will rip them up and you will find plant particles every where one day....I learned the hard way.....

My 2 5inch O's dig up and play with the plastic plants i have in there no matter what i put on top of them to keep them in place
