Plants from lake

Though it is unlikely, the first one looks like anacharis, but it is probably an elodea species. Common plant, can be bought for like a dollar a bunch anywhere. It grows really fast and can soon dominate an aquarium if it is not quickly trimmed. The second one is beautiful, but I don't know the name. As for cleaning the plants you can probably just put them in quarantine for a month or sound insert ich cure or parasite killer (same thing), however, I know this is no practical solution, sorry :(

The first looks more like Sagittaria latifolia to me. The second one is probably Elodea canadensis.

Also, Anacharis an outdated, common name for Elodea.

Okay so I soaked one of the pickerel/Elodea canadensis plants in some bleach water (19:1) for 2 minutes. I am now soaking the plant in dechlorinated water for a few hours.

p.s. this is not plant related but I did not feel like making a new thread :)

I also collected some gravel from the lake. If I bleach dip+boil it will this be safe? I forgot to take a picture of it but it kinda looks like this:

I get river rocks and cobbles from a local stream and I just boil them in a pot for about 5 minutes and then scrub them a little to get the algae and mosses off of them.
