plants in sand?

its ok to have the plants with pool filter sand also? and would the snails be able to dig down the pool filter sand to the roots of the plants?

Any sand will work. It's even easier for them than gravel. My snails dig thru 6'' of playsand ... busy little fellas

there's usually some people selling them on aquabid, that's where i got mine. although the day before they arrived, i was touring the fish stores and the area and came across a whole bunch that hadnt been in there before...
