ok so im getting my first driftwood that i planned to get anubias attached on.
heres the thing, im planning on keeping the driftwood/plant in a bucket til i get the "desire look" that im aimming on, so will it be ok? no fish, aeration, etc. i can however place it near the window and put lights on top of it.
You'll not get much growth from a bucket of water unless you plan on dosing ferts.
He can if he uses old tank water.
do i also need to dechlor the water that i will be using?
No.
If he is using tap water, dechlorinating the water is important, and plants won't tolerate chlorine.
temp?
70° - 80°
how long/how fast to they usually grow?
Anubias are very slow growers. They usually grow one leaf about every 3 weeks.
Growth rates will depend on the species, and the levels. Anubias nana in my tanks can send up new leaves every day. In a bucket, you might see one leaf every few months, unless you get a good light on there, and have nutrients in the water for the plant to use.
and if i plan to add moss, should plant both plants at the same time, or one plant at a time?---and which should go first?
Doesn't matter.
Plant them at the same time. Otherwise you will just waste time on when the piece can go into your tank.
hope you undestand, im abit buzzed lol thanks and have a good one
