Java Moss tied to drift wood is working with most of my cichlids the the texas keeps tryin to pull it off piece by piece
 
anubias for sure and mosses work too if you can get them already on a piece of driftwood, and a pretty big one at that
 
Fake plants work best for me, and my Oscar has a hard time destroying those.

I thought if you like the fake plants up there so much that's where i'll put them so I stuck them to the side of the tank at the top infront of the filter return and it looks ok.
