i found some water hyacin for cheap pond plants and im wondering if they will be ok in my ray tank to help cut down on nitrates?

or is there any other floating safe plants if infact hyacins arent safe?

i bought 2 water hyacin and a little bunch of hornwort to put in my ray tank today, cost me $14 for 3 little plants so i hope they are ok and also hope they help lower nitrates

I know a lot of people who use water hyacinth in aquarium without problems and hornworth are great.

How much light does hyacinth need?

I had a planted tank that a scrapped and I put some of the low light plants like java fern in my feeder tank, I have been testing for nitrates for a 2 months now and I cant find any and the fern growth is insane. My guppies and platies grow so fast.
