Plasma Arc light over a planted tank

I just received one of the last beta units of the new Seashine Plasma Arc LIFI light from Stray Light Optical. All I can say is that this light is freakin POWA. Here it is over my planted tank, as I hold it up. Keep in mind that the picstures were made after the lights had gone off, so many plant leaves had 'folded up' for the night.

WHOAAAAAAAA!!!! That light is friggin sick! We used to use plasma arc lamps (250-1400w) for big automated concert lights & the output is just beyond belief. I'd imagine that thing makes some serious heat too. Whats the wattage? Any more specifics on that lamp? Single-end, double-end, short-arc, HPI, etc....?

The plasma arc LIFI light emitter has no "ends", no contacts and as far as I know it only comes in 250 watts so far, although more powerful LiFi lights are in the works. The emitter end is about the size of an LED.

Sick planted...what does it cost you to run a system like that?

Wow...I went & read all the info on those lamps. Those are not what I expected, but very cool. No contacts, just a glass bubble suspended in conductive jelly!
