I want to hear from you guys ! Looks like LCDs are catching up to Plasma.
And the prices lately have hit Rock Bottom ! So who has one? Who can recommend
a good solid, entry level brand ?

Let this be the official Pimp Screen Thread ! :headbang2

Last Friday I picked up a 50"panasonic Plasma at best buy for 1,999.Yesterday I just had comcast come by and hooked everything up for me.So far its been cool:headbang2

Thanks for the advice Joshy ! I am doing a burn in of my set right now. :)

Chucky - congrats bro ! i also bought a sammy HP-S4253 this sunday and i cant wait
for the cable company to switch me to HDTV. I have been watching Pixar dvds on it and its
amazing.

i have a 32" lcd made by pro view in my bed room... i dont have it set up for the great picture.... i bought it because a normal tv wouldent fit into my room....

Yeah i saw Vizio displays in your mall ( SI Mall ) down by the guy selling those cheap video games.. The display is good and i hear a lot of good things about them. Dont know if they are reliable.

I have a LCD 19" widescreen monitor on my computer and I love it. The color is so vivid! The better to look at monsters with. LOL! It is a HP w19b.

i got my vizio 2 week ago ,it is a lcd gv42l hdtv. i did research for 2 month and many
people said it was good . and yeah it is the best ever. you can get it at costco .

CRT HDTV's still have the clearest picture.

LCD's suffer from stuck pixels, and plasmas tend to suffer from burn in, although the later plasma models are much better than they used to be.

:iagree: Not to mention that plasma life expectancy is low and LCD still has a fairly slow refresh rate. Action movies will look blurred (unless you get a very high end monitor)

I have a 57" (CRT) Hitachi HDTV and I love it.

If I was buying a new TV it wouldn't say anything but Hitachi, Mitsubishi, or Sony (which is overpriced). DLP is just magnified LCD so I don't care for those either.

i agree with most of the posts here redtail if you buy an entry level set you will have problems with it they havent quite got to the point to make the technoligy affordable yet..
i dropped 3500.00 on a dlp to get around that if i was to do it again i would wait another year and see why the prices are dropping.
