PLASMA "Samsung or Panasonic"

Hey all,

In the market for a new TV and was leaning towards a 50" Plasma 1080p.

Between a Samsung 50" Plasma Or Panasonic 50" Plasma.

If you had a choice of these two which would you get & why?

any opinions.

samsung all the way . i think samsung is a better quality brand , it also has a better picture , and i like the slim black frame .

be careful with plasma. I still don't trust them.

Best buy had it on display and was labeled "Panasonic"? They also had "LG"?

pioneer elite is the best made tv on the market , but your going to dish out some serious cash .

LCD is great as long as it has a decent refresh rate. They have been getting much better as of recent.
I've been looking for TVs for the addition to the hospital I work for, and no one will recommend a plasma over LCD. Plasma TVs seem to have a higher contrast ratio, but the LCD is catching up and is much more reliable from what I've found. We have ordered LCD TVs that have a 2 year warranty (HCI--healthcare TV only), but I cant find anyone that will throw in that kind of promise on a plasma.

i recommend LCD, cuz plasma TV are well known to get image burn when turned on for along period of time. especially if ur using it for gaming, LCD is alot clearer, lighter and lasts longer than plasma. also LCD have a higher refreshing rate.
