Warranty

Just bought a 52" Samsung LCD. Love it!!!

I bought the model that come out last Christmas. $2500

The model that came out this Christmas: $3800

Bought my TV about the first of Dec. The only difference in the two is the new one has a higher contrast ratio. And something that eliminates motion blurrness. You could tell a difference when they were side by side at the store. Not worth the extra $1300 to me.

Does Panasonic even make there own TV's Or are they relabled LG's?

Not sure but LG did buy out Zenith. Sad, old Zenith TVs would last for ever. My dad had the old wood style Zenith and it lasted about 20 years.

Not sure about LG TVs but they do make good washers and dryers.

My dad has a 46" and a 36" Samsung LCDs with the larger being 1080p. They have an awesome picture especially the larger one.

I just got a Sharp Aquos 1080p, and the quality of picture is awesome. It has 6000:1 contrast ratio, 16:9 aspect ratio, and a response time 6ms. It is only 32" (I went with quality, not quantity). I would recommend Sharp, LG, Samsung and Sony Bravia. It all depends on how much $$$ you want to spend. I went smaller b/c that was the best in my price-range, and my couch is only 7' from the TV. You can find some great deals out there, such as open-box, last years model etc...Just look for a good warranty. I got 2 years on mine from Costco.
