Are those a naturally occuring specie or a product of cross breeding?

I Have 46cm barra in a 4 foot tank and he is beautiful. Thinking of up grading to a bigger tank but not sure because he is happy as with what hes got. Alot of people say thats not possible but its easy if you want to have alot of up keep, which is fine by me. Will this size tank harm my cob. boof. Any comments please. Damo.
