platinum bichir?

Don't fall for platinum. I don't know why people would pay a ton load of money for one. There are a few sellers that would just make fishes live in tanks with white walls and bright white light since they were juveniles. It's like a tanning salon for humans, it doesn't stay forever. Yes, some platinum fishes are authentic and nice, but not a couple thousand dollars nice to my liking.

So your saying, if I get a normal bicher and place it in a all white tank with a bright light it will turn white? How long will the reverse tan last? Has anyone ever done this since I hear so much about WTT any first hand experience? I'm just curious since everyone's a expert on WTT. I have access to 2.5" endli..these to old to treat?

Just curious. How can you guys tell the difference between platinum sens and platinum dels? Their head and bodies look the exact same so if they're completely white, there's no markings to distinguish them. At least not to me. Platinum endli's and laps are pretty easy though since their body and build is so much different

Are these platinums, inbred?

Not really, but more selectively bred.
Platinum bichirs are not selective breed, they are inbred from continues breeding of the same batch. That's why they are rare as only 1-3% will turn platinum in the same batch the rest are all regular or no plats at all. Even 2 plat bichirs breed they will still produce all regular morph in a batch. It's not actually selective breeding but actually just hope a plat will shows up in a batch. Also a lot of plats that comes out are highly deformed due to continues inbreeding. It's rare to find a perfect shape plat bichir.
