I know, old thread, but I don't think this is a CK. More likely a brown knife, asian brown knife, what ever you want to call Notopterus notopterus. I think the spots everyone was seeing is just handling damage.
 
It's a Chitala. If you actually look closely at the head, it has a "hump." N. Notopterus is smooth all the way through, like X. Nigri (African Brown Knife).
 
definitely not african brown. i got 9. it might be the asian featherback knife that looks like a larger versian of the africans plus a dorsal fin
 
A few juv from inbreeding CK farm.
Many of them are blind or abnormal headshape, that why it not look like CK.
This fish is hard to survive...
