ebink: Stop debating otherwise, it is not a platnium fish it has black markings on it therefore not Platnium. And the definition of Luesisim(sp) is lack of ALL Color. Albinisim is Lack of black/dark pigment. I'm caucasian does that make me Albino or luestic?
I just expressing my opinion bro..because i'v already see a plat orna n plat del when they still juve until they turn into pure white when they big..

eversince people are starting breeding palmas here in Indonesia, there are tons n tons of bichirs variants like that resulted from very very bad gens, those bichirs are then claimed to be platinum, but its really NOT one.. Yet the breeders started making their own name for the bichirs just to trick the buyers, ie, semi-plats??? I wouldn't spend a penny on those. Better wait than regret..

Thank you...:)

The reason why I think that this is not a plat del it's because that gray shade on the head and upper part of the body close to the head. If this is really is a true plat it should be white. And yes I've seen juvie plat del with slight markings on the fin and tail but base color is pure white. Not the one shown on the op's pics.

Anyone debating this should give up now.
This is 100% patternless Delhezi. Come from bad quality genes.

I have had one before (one of the only Polypterus I have not got from a quality breeder/sourcer).

Here is a pic of mine:

i think that's totally different with the dzigbancet del,i also have bichir like that
P1060728.JPG
but i didn't say it's a plat endli..coz i didn't see a silver tinge on that endli
i just look at delhezy dzigbancet and see a silver tinge on that fin.and i'm sure that del is a juve plat..just my opinion

For sure it's your opinion.

The Del in my picture had been in the tank with colored substrate, and very very good established water parameters. When first put into this tank it was very much lighter in color.

My opinion, is the OP fish is 100% NOT platinum.
