Platinum Redtail Catfish 30cm

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Growing this plat rtc withhout getting black spot on them from young is the tough part.
Best to keep them in white base tank when young
Dont stress them up by catching them or have intimadating tankmates
Dont keep changing their enviroment
Keep water clean and dont overfeed
Lastly Luck plays apart too .....lol
If u get a lousy one no matter wat u do .black spot will still appear.

the fish in the bucket were/are for sale in the uk, the albino/gold ones are £1800 and the platinum is £3500, i would be pretty annoyed if i paid for a platinum fish that looked the same as the others in a few months!?

these look pretty white still...

actually the holy grail as a poster wrote, +1.
The lighting use to take pic of the rtc plays apart to colour of the fish
When they grow big most of them look the same maybe very slight colour tone differences.

Anyway a great fish magic, im learning after 20yrs!-) Thanks for the info..
